Asian Para Games

The Asian Para Games is a multi-sport event held every four years after every Asian Games for athletes with physical disabilities.

Before the Asian Para Games was held, an event known as the FESPIC Games, or the Far East and South Pacific Games for the Disabled were held.The FESPIC Games was replaced by the Asian Para Games in 2010, held in Guangzhou, China, after the 16th Asian Games.

The 2022 Asian Para Games, also known as the 4th Asian Para Games will be held in Hangzhou, China from 9 to 15 October 2022.

Asian Youth Para Games

The Asian Youth Para Games is a multi-sport event held every 4 years after every Asian Youth Games for athletes with physical disabilities, aged between 15 to 19 years old. Before the Asian Youth Para Games, the Far East and South Pacific Games for Disabled Youth, or the FESPIC Youth Games, were held.

The 2021 Asian Youth Games, also known as the 4th Asian Youth Para Games will be held in Manama, Bahrain from 1 to 10 December 2021.

Asean Para Games

The ASEAN Para Games is a biannual multi-sport event held after every Southeast Asian Games for athletes with disabilities. This event is traditionally hosted in the country where the Southeast Asian Games also took place.

Officially known as the 12th ASEAN Para Games, the Games will be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 3 to 9 June 2023.

Paralympic Games

The Paralympic Games is a major international multi-sport event for athletes with a range of disabilities, including but not limited to: impaired muscle power, impaired range of movement, visual, and intellectual impairment. There are Winter and Summer Paralympic Games, and they are often held almost immediately after the respective Olympic Games.

Given the various disability types, there are several categories in which athletes can compete in. These categories are further broken down into different classifications and vary from sport to sport.

The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games has been rescheduled for August 24 – 5 September 2021.

This Games will see the introduction of Badminton and Taekwondo to the Paralympic programme, and the removal of Sailing and 7-a-side Football.
