The Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) is hosting the Singapore World Para Swimming (WPS) World Series from 1 to 3 May 2020. This is the second time that the WPS World Series will be taking place in Asia, following Singapore’s successful entry to the prestigious series in the previous year. About 150 top para swimmers from around the world, including Singapore’s top athletes such as Yip Pin Xiu and Toh Wei Soong, are expected to congregate in Singapore for the event, which will also be a staging platform for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
The Singapore 2020 WPS World Series will comprise a 3-day competition held at OCBC Aquatic Centre, Singapore Sports Hub. The tender specifications can be found in Annex A.
All hotels are invited to submit their proposal to partner the SDSC as the ‘Official Hotel’ for this event, using the price schedule in Annex B. Up to two hotels may be appointed – one for team athletes and officials, and one for technical officials. (These can be combined in the same hotel should the circumstances be favourable.) The evaluation criteria are advised in Annex C.
Deadline for proposals is 3 January 2020, 12pm.
Please kindly note that the SDSC is a non-governmental body and a charity that has been organising sports for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) since 1973. Currently, it oversees the development of over 300 athletes with disability, across 20 sports. More information is available on SDSC and the WPS World Series in Annex E.
