The Toyota World Para Swimming Championships – Singapore 2025 will take place from 21 to 27 September 2025 at the OCBC Aquatic Centre, marking the first time the event is hosted in Asia. Over 600 athletes from 60 nations will compete in this top-tier Para swimming competition, drawing around 19,000 attendees.
Aligned with Singapore’s SG60 celebrations and the Disability Sports Master Plan 2024, the event aims to promote inclusivity and accessibility in sports, empowering persons with disabilities. The Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC), with support from Sport Singapore and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, is organizing the event.
This championship highlights Singapore’s commitment to inclusivity, following the successful hosting of the Citi Para Swimming World Series in 2019. The event invites fans, athletes, and partners to be part of this historic celebration.
We are excited to extend an opportunity for your school to inspire students, promote inclusivity, and raise awareness about disability sports and athletes with disabilities.
Students will get the opportunity to be motivated and learn about values such as resilience as they cheer for disabled athletes who are competing in the championships. They will also have the opportunity to participate in meet and greet sessions with Singapore National Para-athletes, and develop a sense of empathy as they get to try para sports and understand the challenges that para athletes overcome.
